PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION OF WINE

The Domaine Saint Esteve occupies about 30 hectars of land largely consisting of loamy clay and limestone soils. It is located near Rognes in the Bouches du Rhône, between the chain of Côtes and Trévaresse. Its rosé is one of the wines of Provence classified in the Coteaux Aix-en-Provence appellation. It is the second wine producing locale assigned as appellation in Provence. Its geographical area includes 49 municipalities of the departments of Bouches-du-Rhône and 2 communes of Var. The appellation territory extends over the western part of Low Provence, from Montagne Sainte-Victoire to the Alpilles and from the Côte Bleue to the Durance Valley. Spread over 4,200 hectares, the appellation vineyard produces around 210,000 hectoliters a year. Rosé wines produced in this region are supple and fruity. The Domaine Saint Esteve rosé wine comes from the practice of organic farming. Organic agricultural products are grown without fertilizers or chemicals. They are subject to regular controls by ECOCERT.
