PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION OF WINE
DOMAINE LA CHAPELLE rosé wines belong to AOP Côtes de Provence, the largest appellation in Provence. The vineyard of AOP Côtes de Provence covers about 20,000 hectares. Its geographic range encompasses 85 municipalities from three Mediterranean departments: VAR, Bouches-du-Rhone and Alpes-Maritimes. This area is under the typical influence associated with the Mediterranean climate of Provence. DOMAINE LA CHAPELLE wines are produced in the vineyard of 12 ha located near Collobrières village, opposite the Maures foothills. The soil of this particular vineyard is primarily composed of shale and sandy alluvium loam. The “Maures” plain is situated halfway between the northern part of the appellation, where the vineyards are considered to be the freshest, and the coastal area, known as particularly hot, especially during the summer months. Located in Permian depression, the “Maures” plain enjoys a very favorable microclimate ideally suited to rosé wine production. Rosé wines from AOP Côtes de Provence are usually described as delightful and powerful at the same time.
