PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION OF WINE

The rosé wine DOMAINE DE LIBRAN AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence is made predominantly from the Grenache, a grape varietal which is often used in production of Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence wines. Having originated in Spain, the Grenache grape confers upon young wines an elegant aroma similar to that of fresh red berries. Such fruitiness makes for a robust wine, one of character and enviable delicacy. Another ingredient of the DOMAINE DE LIBRAN, the Cinsault, is a tasty grape known as both a table grape and one quite suitable for winemaking in Provence. The Cinsault grape gives this wine its freshness, finesse and fruitiness, much like other nuanced varietals. Finally, the small black berries of Syrah with its bluish color conspires to confer upon these wines their sturdy appearance and desirable legs. The domain de Libran vineyard is a part of AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, the second regional appellation in Provence. AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence area covers geographical region of 49 municipalities of Bouches-du-Rhône department and 2 municipalities of VAR department. Extended on western part of Lower Provence, the Sainte-Victoire Mountain to Alpilles, from Côte blue to the Durance Valley, the vineyards of AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence are spread over 3,500 hectares, and about 150,000 hectoliters of wines are produced per year. Benefiting from clay-limestone soil, these rosé wines are supple and fruity.
