Quality wines of Aix-en-Provence region

Typical of the Mediterranean climate of Provence, the region is bathed in sunshine and often swept by a strong mistral breezes. Due to clay-limestone soils, these rose wines are supple and fruity. Rose wines represent 55% of wine production in the region. Grenache dominates, before Cinsault and Carignan.
