PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION OF WINE
Domaine Fazi rosé wine has an original style, produced through the combination of international varietals - Merlot, Grenache, Cinsault, - and a typical Corsican grape Sciaccarellu. Sciaccarellu is a highly aromatic varietal with medium-size grapes. Merlot brings to the wine the roundness and supple tannins. Grenache imbues the wine with aromatic and silky aromas. Cinsault enriches rosé wines with finesse and fruitiness. Grown on Corsica, know as the Island of Beauty, the archetypical Mediterranean island, Domaine Fazi rosé wine belongs to the family of IGP Ile de Beauté wines. Domain Casa Rossa is reliant upon the cooperative Aghione which is located south of Corsica. The domain was created by Mr Vincent FAZI in the early 1970s. On the East Coast of the island, between Aleria and Ghisonaccia, his vineyards are surrounded by the hamlet of Saint-Antoine near Ghisonaccia. Vineyards in this area benefit from a climate full of sunshine and moderated by their proximity to the sea, and protected by surrounding mountains. At the Fazi vineyard, each grape varietal is vinified separately, treated through a technique of cold liquid stabilization, and then subjected to temperature-controlled fermentation and standard aging processes. This exceptional grape growing area allows traditional Corsican varietals Niellucciu and Sciaccarellu to express their outstanding aromas, originality, and quality.
