WATERMELON SOUP AND PARMA HAM WITH MELON

SOUPE DE PASTEQUE ET JAMBON DE PARME AU MELON 2017Alliance food – wine:

MIMI EN PROVENCE  rosé wine accompanies nicely the watermelon soup with Parma ham and melon.

Preparation - 25 minutes.

For 2 servings: 1 melon * 2 thin slices of Parma ham * 1 watermelon * 1 lime * 60 g sugar * 1cs balsamic sauce * fresh basil * salt and pepper

Wash and dry watermelon and melon.

Cut a portion of the watermelon into small cubes, place in a blender. Add sugar and juice of lime to the purée obtained by blending the cubes of watermelon fruit and place in the refrigerator until serving. Best to be served in a glass.

Cut into slices melon. Arrange them with ham on small individual serving plates. Sprinkle with balsamic sauce.

Depending on taste, add some fresh basil leaves, salt and pepper.
